Terms and Services
Introduction
Welcome to HalfCoach. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and services. These terms govern the relationship between HalfCoach, coaches (referred to as “Coaches”), and users (referred to as “Users”). Please read these terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our platform.
Services Provided
HalfCoach provides a platform where:
- Coaches can offer professional services such as video call consultations, chat-based consultations, and digital resources (e.g., ebooks) for sale.
- Users can purchase and schedule coaching sessions or buy resources directly from Coaches.
Both Coaches and Users must register an account on HalfCoach to use the services.
Pricing and Commission
Coaches set their own prices for the services they offer, such as:
- Video Call Consultations: Coaches may charge a fee (e.g., £120 for a session).
- Chat Consultations: Coaches may charge a fee (e.g., £20 for a session).
HalfCoach will deduct a 20% commission from every completed video or chat session.
Additionally, Coaches can sell their ebooks or resources. HalfCoach will charge a 10% commission on every ebook sale.
Coach Registration
Coaches who wish to join HalfCoach must:
- Provide a valid LinkedIn profile link or a professional website link for verification purposes.
- Ensure that the provided links are accurate and active. Failure to provide proper verification will result in denial of registration.
There are no registration fees for Coaches. However, all services offered through HalfCoach will be subject to the commission deductions as outlined above.
Refund Policy
Users are entitled to refunds under the following conditions:
- If the Coach does not provide the agreed-upon video call or chat session, the User will be eligible for a full refund.
- If the Coach and User mutually agree to reschedule the session, and the User is satisfied with the new arrangement, no refund will be issued.
HalfCoach will mediate disputes between Users and Coaches when necessary. However, refunds will be issued only if HalfCoach determines that the Coach did not fulfill the service as promised.
Coach Responsibilities
Coaches are responsible for:
- Offering professional and accurate services.
- Managing their availability and service prices on the platform.
- Ensuring that all digital resources (such as ebooks) are original and authored by the Coach.
HalfCoach reserves the right to remove or disable any Coach profile found to be in violation of these terms, including fraudulent claims or misrepresentation of credentials.
User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
- Ensuring that they provide accurate information when booking services or purchasing resources.
- Leaving constructive feedback after sessions or purchases. While Users are allowed to share their experience, any inappropriate feedback (e.g., hate speech, offensive language) will be reviewed and may be removed by HalfCoach.
Content Responsibility
All content, including feedback, reviews, and comments posted by Users or Coaches, is the responsibility of the individual who posted it. HalfCoach does not endorse any content shared by Users or Coaches. However, HalfCoach reserves the right to review and remove inappropriate or harmful content that violates our policies or community standards.
Payment Processing
All payments on the HalfCoach platform are processed securely. Coaches will receive payments for their services, minus the HalfCoach commission (20% for services and 10% for ebooks), after the session is completed or the ebook is sold.
Intellectual Property
The content, trademarks, logos, and other materials on the HalfCoach platform are the intellectual property of HalfCoach unless otherwise stated. Coaches retain ownership of the original digital resources they upload and sell through the platform, but grant HalfCoach a license to display and sell these resources.
Privacy Policy
Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. HalfCoach takes all necessary steps to ensure that your data is secure and only used for the purposes of providing our services. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between a User and a Coach, HalfCoach will work to mediate the issue in a fair and timely manner. However, HalfCoach is not liable for any direct interaction between Users and Coaches that occurs outside of the platform.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through mediation, HalfCoach reserves the right to remove either party from the platform.
Termination of Account
Both Users and Coaches may terminate their accounts at any time. HalfCoach also reserves the right to terminate or suspend any account that violates these terms or engages in fraudulent activity.
Modifications to the Terms
HalfCoach reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users and Coaches will be notified of any significant changes via email or through notifications on the platform.
